What is GoogleDocs?

GoogleDocs is like an online/portable  Microsoft Word Document, Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet, Form and Drawing. You can upload your files here, share it with others and a lot more. You can also edit files you have and can easily access them without the hassle of inserting USB devices and all, all that requires you to have is a Computer, a browser and internet connection. You can create your documentation or anything else with just a click of your mouse and an account here in google.

Main Features:

Documents:
  • Upload and convert Word documents, OpenOffice, RTF, HTML, text (.txt), Open Office (.odt), and StarOffice Writer (.sxw) files (or create documents from scratch).
  • Easily format your documents, spell-check them, etc.
  • Invite others by email to edit or view your documents.

Advantages of GoogleDocs:

  • Can save in different formats
  • Can easily edit files
  • Can sort out files in your item lists
Disadvantages of GoogleDocs:

  • In cases of power outages, if you haven't saved your file, it will not be recovered
  • Most likely it will lag, in slow computers
  • Requires to have internet to be able to use it
  • Less features compared to the Microsoft Office Version
  • If you have a big file or bunches of files, uploading it takes time (for slow internet connection or upload rate)
